Anyone who knows me personally (or who has read any posts on LegallyFit) is aware of my sweet tooth. Brownies, ice cream, cookies – if it has sugar in it, count me in. Balancing this sweet tooth and my desire to live a healthy lifestyle has not always been easy. In reality, it is an everyday struggle, hence my recipes for healthy treats, like Deceivingly Healthy Chocolate “Cake” Bites or Almond Meal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Recently, I discovered a new healthy treat to help battle my inner sugar monster – Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Dessert Bars. Oh. My. Heaven. The nutrition on these bad boys is pretty stellar and the comedic wrappers also keep me amused. Plus, nothing beats a frozen treat on a warm summer night (poetic, I know). The bars come in 10 delicious flavors. The Sea Salt Caramel (my personal favorite) contains only 1 gram of fat, 18 carbohydrates, and yet somehow has 5 grams of protein (all of them are similar in nutritional values) – not bad for dessert.
Fellow sweet tooth syndrome sufferers, next time you’re craving some ice cream, try one of these instead. They are creamy, delicious, and about as close to guilt free as you can get.
